Locums Psychiatrist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Psychiatrist (Physician) to provide inpatient coverage for a dual diagnosis unit in Manchester, CT. This role focuses on managing patients with both mental health and substance use disorders in a structured, team-based environment.

Compensation:  $220 Per Hour

Schedule

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call: None

Practice Setting

• Inpatient dual diagnosis unit
• 22-bed unit
• Patient Volume: ~12 patients per day
• Average length of stay: 7–10 days
• Multidisciplinary support team including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatric technicians

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and treatment planning
• Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Coordinate care and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry and/or addiction medicine preferred
