Locums Urology Physician

Locum Tenens

We are seeking a Locums Urology Physician to provide comprehensive urologic care in Fargo, ND. This role includes a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and surgical procedures, with a strong emphasis on direct patient care. The ideal candidate is experienced in a wide range of urologic procedures and comfortable working in both clinical and hospital settings.

 

Compensation:  $275 Per Hour

 

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 80 hours per pay period
  • No call required
  • No Federal holiday coverage required

 

Practice Setting

  • Outpatient urology clinic with inpatient rounding responsibilities
  • Approximately 90% direct patient care
  • Daily patient evaluations, consults, and follow-ups
  • Coordination with consulting services as needed

 

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient urology clinic
  • Perform inpatient rounds for urology patients
  • Provide consultations and coordinate specialty referrals
  • Deliver comprehensive urologic care including both medical and surgical management
  • Ensure timely documentation and patient care coordination

 

Procedures & Scope of Care

  • Cystoscopies
  • Vasectomies
  • Ureteroscopies
  • Scrotal surgeries
  • Transurethral procedures for prostate disease and bladder cancer
  • Incision & drainage of prostatic abscess
  • Bladder, kidney, ureter, and urethral procedures
  • Procedures involving epididymis, spermatic cord, testes, penis, and scrotum
  • Endoscopic urologic procedures

 

Technology & Equipment:

  • Holmium laser
  • ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy)
  • Fluoroscopy

 

Preferred Skills

  • Robotics certification preferred (not required)
  • Experience with advanced urologic surgical procedures

 

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Urology
  • North Dakota medical license preferred
  • DEA certification
