We are
seeking a Locums Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology Physician to provide coverage
at a high-acuity pediatric facility in Hollywood, FL. This role focuses
primarily on cardiac anesthesia for non-cardiac procedures and cath lab cases,
with exposure to complex pediatric patients in a collaborative, team-based
environment.
Schedule
- Shift Days: Monday–Friday
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00
PM or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekend Coverage: Not required
initially; optional 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts if appropriate
- Call Requirements:
- Not required initially
- Call may be introduced once
provider is fully oriented and comfortable

- ~200 open heart cases annually
- 10+ transplants per year
- 500+ cardiac catheterizations
annually
- Coverage Model: 60% solo / 40%
medical direction (2:1 ratio)
- Patient Acuity: 60% complex/sick
patients, 40% healthy patients
- No liver or multivisceral transplant

Clinical
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for
pediatric cardiac and non-cardiac procedures
- Manage high-acuity pediatric
patients in perioperative settings
- Administer and manage anesthesia in
cath lab and OR settings
- Utilize advanced monitoring and
hemodynamic management techniques
- Collaborate with surgical,
cardiology, and perioperative teams
Required
Procedures & Skills
- Central line placement
- Arterial line placement
- Management of vasoactive medications
(pressors)
- Strong experience in pediatric
cardiac anesthesia
Requirements
& Certifications
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- Active Florida medical license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
- Pediatric cardiac anesthesia
experience required
