Locums Radiation Oncology Physician

Seeking a Locums Radiation Oncology Physician to provide coverage in a predominantly outpatient setting in Alpena, Michigan is. This role offers a balanced schedule with a strong focus on continuity of care, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

 

Practice Setting

• Clinic: 90% Outpatient / 10% Inpatient
• Inpatient consults are infrequent but possible
• Dedicated weekly tumor boards (attendance required)
• EMR: Epic
• Dictation: Dragon

 

Schedule

• 3 days per week
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Preferred coverage days: Tuesday – Thursday

 

Call Requirements

• Weeknight call only
• Call is optional but preferred while provider is on-site

 

Clinical Responsibilities

• E&M services
• New consults and follow-ups
• Radiation treatment management
• Treatment planning and oversight

• CT Simulation (CT Sim)
• Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
• Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
• Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
• High-Dose-Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy

 

Requirements

• Active Michigan medical license (MI license only)
• BLS certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
