or Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician for locum tenens
coverage in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This role supports a high-volume MFM
practice with a strong emphasis on high-risk obstetrics, providing
comprehensive care across both clinic and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide
comprehensive care for high-risk maternal and fetal patients in both
outpatient and inpatient settings
- Perform
consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing management of complex
pregnancies
- Participate
in weekday and weekend call coverage for urgent and emergent MFM needs
- Collaborate
with OB/GYNs, neonatology, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure
accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical
record

of high-risk conditions including:
- Pre-eclampsia and hypertension
- Multiple gestations
- Fetal growth restriction
- Chromosomal, congenital, and genetic
abnormalities
- Pre-term labor
- Thrombophilia
- Birth defects and complex maternal or
fetal comorbidities
- Experience
with vaginal and cesarean deliveries in high-risk settings
Qualifications
- Board
Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Completion
of an accredited MFM fellowship
- Active
Virginia medical license
- BLS
certification
- AIUM
certification
