Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This role includes a combination of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities in a supportive hospital environment.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM clinic hours
• On-Call: 24-hour trauma/orthopedic call coverage with follow-up clinic for your patients
• Coverage Requirement: Minimum of 2 weeks per month
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based with clinic and operating room responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Outpatient clinic visits (new and follow-up patients)
• Surgical procedures for trauma and elective orthopedic cases
• 24-hour call coverage for ED and inpatient orthopedic consults
• Rounding on post-operative patients
• Performing orthopedic trauma procedures as needed
• Coordinating care with hospital staff, advanced practice providers, and other specialists

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Iowa medical license or Active IMLC
• Prior trauma and surgical experience preferred
• Availability for at least 2 weeks per month
