Temporary Front Desk Coordinator

Full Time

We are seeking a reliable and professional Front Desk Coordinator to manage front-of-house operations, oversee security coordination, and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential to maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere at our NYC facility.

 

Compensation:  $20-24 Per Hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Greet and assist all visitors at the front desk
  • Verify visitor clearance, issue temporary badges, and maintain the visitor log
  • Ensure employees entering the premises are properly identified with ID badges
  • Route participant concerns to the appropriate departments and escalate complaints to A&G promptly
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and email staff accordingly
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Page staff and make emergency overhead announcements when necessary
  • Conduct regular perimeter checks to ensure security of entrances
  • Monitor security camera feeds and report concerns
  • Maintain order and safety procedures during emergency situations
  • Manage parking usage at locations with dedicated parking areas
  • Provide lunch coverage for Transportation Coordinator role and assist with basic transportation calls when needed
  • Provide occasional support to other regional sites as needed 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bengali speaking required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience as a receptionist and/or in a security role preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic email systems
  • Must pass a typing test (40–45 WPM with 90%+ accuracy)
