Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a dynamic trauma team at a Level I Trauma Center in Neptune City, NJ. This inpatient locums opportunity includes coverage for both pediatric and adult trauma patients with occasional time in the OR.

Assignment Details:

• Setting: Inpatient – Trauma Surgery
• Coverage: Pediatrics and occasional OR
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center (Pediatric & Adult)
• Schedule:
• 3 shifts/week
• 12.5-hour shifts
• Mix of day and night shifts
• 60% nights / 40% days
• Must be flexible to work rotating shifts (e.g., day shift followed by a night shift) 

Patient Load & Procedures:

• Daily Patient Volume: 10–25 patients
• Common Procedures:
• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Chest tube insertion
• Simple and intermediate wound repairs 

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey License
• Up-to-date CDS and DEA
• Certifications:
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience:
• Trauma Surgery, Critical Care, or Emergency Medicine background required
• ICU experience preferred
• Previous trauma or critical care APP experience strongly preferred
