Locums Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide coverage across five urgent care sites in the Pittsburgh, PA area (each within a 30-mile radius). Providers must be able to work independently and confidently handle a broad range of urgent care presentations in both adult and pediatric populations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with minor injuries and illnesses including:
• Cold/flu symptoms
• Rashes
• Abrasions
• Lacerations
• Sprains
• Minor burns
• Perform procedures such as:
• Suturing/wound care/I&Ds
• Splinting
• X-rays/EKG interpretation
• Blood draws and IV placements
• Refer high-acuity cases to the emergency department as needed
• Travel between sites as assigned 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine
• Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages
• Must be comfortable working independently
• Proficient with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care 

Credentialing Requirements:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Pennsylvania license
• Active DEA
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• COVID Vaccination
