We are seeking a Board
Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Otolaryngology Physician to provide locums
coverage at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) Pediatric ENT Clinic in Peoria,
IL, beginning January 2026. This is an as-needed position to fill service gaps
and cover scheduled provider PTO. The role supports a dedicated pediatric ENT
team, which includes two attending ENT surgeons and two experienced physician
assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient and inpatient ENT
care for pediatric patients
- Perform ENT surgical procedures as
clinically indicated
- Provide night call coverage on a
rotating or as-needed basis
- Collaborate with APPs, nursing, and
ancillary staff in a pediatric-focused environment
Required Procedures:
- Tonsillectomy
- Adenoidectomy
- Myringotomy with vent tube insertion
- Cauterization of the septum
- Frenulectomy
- Foreign body removal
- Abscess drainage
- Myringoplasty
- Laryngoscopy
Schedule:
- Monday–Sunday, 12-hour clinical shifts
- Night call coverage as needed
- Flexible scheduling based on clinic
needs and provider availability
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in
Otolaryngology with Pediatric ENT experience
- Active or eligible Illinois medical
license
- Active Controlled Substance Registration
(CSR)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS
certifications
- Experience in pediatric ENT surgical procedures is required
